Transparent, Agreed-in-Advance Pricing

Christopher is committed to transparent pricing. Fees are agreed in advance and confirmed in writing before any work begins. Professional, licensed access and lay clients are all welcome to make contact to obtain a quotation for legal services.

How Fees Are Structured

Three fee arrangements are available depending on the nature and complexity of your matter.

Hourly Rate

Work charged by time spent, including advice, drafting, research and correspondence. An estimate of likely total hours will be provided at the outset.

Rate available on request

Fixed Fee

A fixed fee can be agreed for defined pieces of work such as an advice, a set of pleadings, or representation at a specific hearing.

Agreed in advance in writing

Brief Fee

For advocacy at hearings, a brief fee is agreed in advance covering preparation and the hearing itself, with a refresher rate for multi-day hearings.

Plus refreshers where applicable

Employment Tribunal

Indicative Fees & Key Stages

The following indicative fees apply to Employment Tribunal work undertaken on a direct access basis. Fees will vary depending on the complexity of the matter, the number of issues, the volume of documents, and the length of the hearing. All fees are exclusive of VAT (where applicable) and disbursements.

Additional costs may include court/tribunal fees, expert witness fees, and travel expenses where applicable. These will be discussed and agreed in advance. VAT is not currently charged.

Commercial & Civil Fees

VAT & Disbursements

VAT is not currently charged. Disbursements (such as court fees, expert witness fees, and travel) are additional costs that will be discussed and agreed in advance before being incurred.
